Author and creative writing instructor, Molly Larson Cook, along with Skylark Writing Studio and Whidbey Island Arts Council, will present three writing workshops for adults at the Coupeville Library.
The Arts Council is sponsoring Cook in this project to benefit the Council’s Literary Arts programs and scholarships.
Cook will present one-day workshops on three Saturdays – June 25, July 23, and August 20 for adult writers at all levels.
The June 25 session is A Writer’s Tools: Words, Sentences, Paragraphs and Pages; July 23 will be Road Trips, Rendezvous, and Route 66; and the session on Aug. 20 is called Poetry Inside the Lines (and Out!).
“The workshops will be lively and engaging, and we’ll have fun while doing serious work,” said Cook. “It’s summer school, after all, and summer is a time for fun. At the same time, the workshops are designed to explore some serious writing territory that will encourage beginners and move experienced writers along in their work.”
The cost of each workshop is $60. Anyone interested will need to pre-register with Cook. Workshop details and registration forms are available from Contact her by phone at 678-3042 or go to her website at www.skylarkwritingstudio.com.
