The first ever Veterans Day parade is planned for Oak Harbor this year.

The parade is slated to take place on Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. Planning is in the early stages as yet so the parade route has not yet been finalized.

Participation is limited to veterans and veterans organizations and groups, but observation is open to everyone. Any veteran or veterans group interested in helping or participating may email Terry at laceytdl@comcast.net.

The next planning meeting will take place April 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce conference room. Anyone interested in helping to plan this inaugural event is invited to attend.
