Whidbey Island Bicycle Club is hosting its second annual Mussels in the Kettles event Saturday starting at 9 a.m. in Coupeville., in conjunction with the Penn Cove Mussel Festival.

This is a non-competitive mountain bike and poker ride featuring three courses — one for beginner, moderate and expert riders.

Mussels in the Kettles, which is WIBC’s main recruitment event for the year, will begin at 6 South Main Street in Coupeville and proceed out to the Kettles and Fort Ebey trail system.
