I see they are going to close down the coal powered electric plant by Chehalis. Let’s see if I have this right; we are going to shut down or are shutting down coal, nuclear, hydroelectric, oil and natural gas power facilties, so I have a question: Where are you going to plug in your precious electric cars?
If we eliminate coal and nukes, we will eliminate over 60 percent of our electricity, so what do you want to give up? Refrigerators? Water heaters? Lighting? MRI’s? X-rays? Welders? Water pumps? Food processing?
Solar and wind are horribly inefficient, horribly expensive and only account for less than 2 percent nationally and are not likely to add much for years to come, so maybe some rethinking the problem is in order. I know the world’s most articulate and intelligent human is anti-energy, but it’s time for the rest of us to over-ride him.
