The Boys & Girls Club of Oak Harbor’s “Bids for Kids” Dinner and Auction was a wonderful success. The auction raised over $120,000 for our club. We would like to thank all the donors, sponsors, guests, and volunteers who made this possible.

Special thanks goes to Island Thrift for their match of $20,000, and Gloria Carothers of The Jewelry Gallery for her contribution of a Hearts on Fire diamond pendant worth over $9,000. Thanks, also, to Bill and Kathy Massey for their generous contribution to the club. And congratulations to Joanne Sample, this year’s winner of the diamond raffle.

It was a wonderful event and the Boys and Girls Auction Committee looks forward to seeing everyone again next year on March 8 for the ninth annual “Bids for Kids” event.
