Central Whidbey Little League hits a grand slam

Coupeville is a charming little town filled with warm smiles, friendly neighbors, and, yes, the finest ice cream shop in America. But one of the unique privileges of living in Coupeville is the opportunity to participate in Central Whidbey Little League. For the last three years, the Halvorson kids have enjoyed playing on CWLL Teams. What a great experience it has been to be part of a league that has its priorities straight.

Our children have enjoyed learning America’s past time while working together with their teams, sometimes learning to be humble in victory and other times learning to lose with grace. The Halvorson family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to President Bob Martin and the CWLL board of directors who have set the right tone and guided the league in making CWLL the place you want your children to play!

Most recently the league paid the airfare for CWLL tee ball players Lydia (age 6) and Abraham (age 4) to attend President Bush’s last tee ball game on the south lawn of the White House. We are grateful to the CWLL board for their generosity to our family, for their support to send Abraham and Lydia to Washington, D.C., but most importantly, for their foresight and wisdom in making CWLL one of the best Little Leagues! Keep up the great work President Martin and board of directors, you’re hitting it out of the park!
