Our club finds joy in knowing that our community respects and values the work that we perform locally. Support of our projects, the annual holiday wreath sales, garden tour and tea and plant sales contributes to our ability to fulfill our goals to provide for the beautification of the city of Oak Harbor.

In November 2010, the OHGC was requested by Hank Nydham of the parks department to offer recommendations for the pot plantings to be placed along Pioneer Way that would offer year-round color and interest. A committee, led by Claire Reed and consisting of as many as 7 club members, volunteered over 200 hours attending meetings, researching appropriate plants and planning for placement. The coordination of our recommendations with the expertise of parks staff has resulted in a floral streetscape that complements our community and prompts pride in the beauty it provides. OH Garden Club is dedicated to being an integral part of all that makes our community great.
