What an interesting election year, especially for the mayor and council positions in Coupeville. Four positions and four challengers were competing for these positions; this is democracy at its best.

Many good questions were raised and the awareness of the citizens is probably at an all time high. I sincerely hope that the interest shown by the voters continues in the form of attendance and participation in Town Council meetings. These council meetings are local government in action and I urge more people to come out and be heard. If you have issues and would like me to speak for you then please let me know.

Finally, I would like to thank you for having the courage to support an unknown candidate and, with your support, give a voice to issues and concerns not being addressed by the current council.
