Exactly what is the port’s long-term plan? | Letter

Editor,

I regret that I could not attend the Wednesday meeting of the Port of Coupeville.

This controversy has a personal effect on me, as I am one of the 60 or so artists who are represented by a gallery at the Greenbank Farm. The auto correct on my computer keeps wanting to change that to “Greenback,” as apparently do the commissioners.

But I don’t think this issue is all about the money. Several people, including the other commissioner, have laid out the numbers for us, and quite frankly it doesn’t add up.

Here’s what I want to know:

n What is this REALLY all about?

n If the commissioners have a plan for the farm, please tell us. Tell us the truth.

n Where are all those people who supposedly support the port’s decision to gut my income and put all these businesses out on the street.

n And, who is going to clean the bathroom once the management group is gone?
