Get off the one way kick

I am appalled that you don’t use the editorial process to express your opinions. Using inflammatory headlines lower your paper to the level of trash rags. I used to admire your value as a newspaper, but the constant referral of the Oak Harbor Pioneer Way construction and upgrades to “one way street” issues is not news. It’s something to stimulate gossip and conflict that is harmful to your readers and your reputation.

Please get off the soapbox. That street was a hazard and needs sewer, water and electrical attention. As an added benefit it can be made more shopper and shopkeeper friendly by fixing the sidewalks for safety and comfortable usage.

The one way street disagreement is not what is going on with the construction project. Your paper should not be promoting that concept. The news is that the construction is going well and the much needed repairs are being made.
