Letter: Biden is just a weak political pawn

Editor,

One last word about Joe Biden before he is sent to the ash heap of history. His farewell speech was sad, pushed by the Democratic bigwigs, to the dark hour of the night when most people are in bed, and clinging to the same lies that have been his hallmark.

The most glaring lie is a misquote of Trump’s statement “there are good people on both sides” after Charlottesville. If this is a line that shows an acceptance of radical ideology than what does it say when Joe uses it referring to the pro-Hamas demonstrators outside the convention hall? Is Joe an antisemite? No, he is just a weak political pawn.

It just points out the loss of honesty in reporting how each side sees the issues. What is racism when uttered by the right is acceptable if uttered by the left. Minor disorder by conservatives is punished harshly, but liberal destruction of cities are just mostly peaceful protests.

So goodbye Joe, may you and Jimmy Carter find comfort in knowing that your legacies are unique in history for being the two worst presidents the country has ever had.
