Letter: Cabinet picks are nothing to scoff at

Editor,

I find it somewhat humorous to hear a number of Democrat politicians and the media question the suitability of Trump’s cabinet picks. It’s not that I think they shouldn’t be questioned about their competence, but I remember four years ago the same people not having a question about the appointments that Biden chose. His were for their sexual orientation, color, sex or as a reward. Competence was never a criteria, and the media gushed over each one as being “the first.”

Needless to say, I feel more confident in Trump’s choices, because the permanent Washington denizens are throwing a conniption. Trump’s picks will have a tougher hearing, but most are better people than the government has had in a long time.
