Editor,
Washington has two choices for governor for this state. First is Dave Reichert. He is a former U.S. representative and King County Sheriff. He was in charge of apprehending the Green River serial killer. He has a background of being tough on crime and a record of leadership that the buck stops at his desk. During the debate with Bob Ferguson, he asked if he would accept responsibility for the rise in crime and homelessness and Ferguson would not give an answer because he has not accepted responsibility for when things go bad.
The second choice Bob Ferguson who is the present attorney general for the state. Looking at his record during the time he has been the top law enforcement officer for the state will give you a view of what he would be as governor. During his time in office, we are now 50th place out of 50 states for the lowest ratio of citizens to law officers. In the nation. This has led along with laws passed by the Democrats in Olympia to one of the top areas for car theft, fentanyl and other drug usage and death, as well as homeless encampments that are beds of crime spread through the major metropolitan areas of the state. He has been soft on crime throughout the state.
The choice is simple. If you want to lower the crime rates in Washington State, vote for Dave Reichert. Bob Ferguson needs to retire to private life where he will not have an effect on our state.
