I am happy to support Wanda Grone in her candidacy for commissioner of Island County District #1.

I have been a resident of Island County for over four years and am honored to have worked under Wanda Grone’s guidance and mentorship. While Wanda held the position of Island County’s Treasurer, I worked as her banking deputy. During this time, Wanda excelled and carried out the responsibilities of treasurer with integrity, honesty and trust, while responsibly stewarding the entirety of Island County funds.

Not only is Wanda experienced, honest and hardworking, she is dedicated to enhancing the county’s financial accountability and transparency. Wanda has taught me the importance of financial accountability and how vital it can be in creating trust and transparency. I still lead with these pieces of wisdom to my current work each and every day, thanks to Wanda.

I know that Wanda follows the rules and is guided by a simple but brilliant policy called a “Common Sense Policy.”

The people of Island County need a strong candidate with honest values, unwavering integrity and a high moral code that only Wanda Grone can bring to the table.
