My wife and I wholeheartedly support the candidacy of Wanda Grone for commissioner of District 1 of Island County.

We’ve known Wanda for a number of years and have found her to be a very bright, honest and hard working individual.

She served as the treasurer of Island County for eight years with utmost integrity.

Wanda is a member of the Central Whidbey Lions Club and served as treasurer of the Lions for several years with commitment to maintaining a balanced budget with healthy reserves. She is also a member of the Deer Lagoon Grange.

While serving as treasurer of Island County she had strong island-wide and bi-partisan support in her re-election campaign which enabled her to win re-election.

If elected commissioner of District 1 of Island County, we are more than confident that Wanda will:

– Serve all of the people of her district and bring them together as a united constituency.

– Measure programs in the county to make sure they are successfully doing what they are supposed to do, thus making our county better – not bigger – by funding even more programs.

– Propose common sense policies and monitor fiscal policies to make sure they are making the best use of taxpayer funds.
