The League of Women Voters of Whidbey Island and Sno-Isle libraries will co-sponsor three virtual candidate forums in mid-October. Dates and times will be advertised in the near future. The purpose of this letter is to invite members of the public to submit candidate questions for the League’s Forum Committee’s consideration.

The forums will be for candidates in contested positions. For Oak Harbor/North Whidbey, those are candidates for mayor, council members Position 2 and 4, School Board Positions 2, 3, 4 and 5, and North Whidbey Fire and Rescue Commissioner, Position 1.

For Coupeville, candidates for Mayor, School Board Positions 1 and 4, and Port of Coupeville Commissioners District 1 and 3.

For South Whidbey, candidates for City of Langley Mayor, and council members Position 3 and 4. This third forum will also include the candidates for Public Hospital District, Commissioners Position 1 and 5.
