Thanks for printing my letter regarding the OLF Saturday the 12th. I have had several positive responses supporting my comments, but I am saddened today as I heard repeated touch and goes this morning.

I am saddened as I know those pilots and the crews that maintain those aircraft will be departing soon to keep us safe. What saddens me is not them departing, but from years of personal experience I know they will not be with their families for Thanksgiving or Christmas this year.

I hope the residents of Whidbey Island will put those brave young men and women in their prayers for a safe return to NAS Whidbey and their families.
