Editor,
When Island County prosecutor Greg Banks was caught demeaning and slandering Trump supporters with very fascistic language reminiscent of the Holocaust, he should have been fired or resigned. But he was left in place. Now he is prosecuting a prominent Trump supporter. Banks is prosecuting Tim Hazelo for, in my opinion, defending democracy. And Banks has just bumped up the level of charges from misdemeanors to felony status, just like Alvin Bragg did to President Trump.
But why is Banks being allowed to do this when he is a virulent hater of Trump supporters?
After falsely quoting Trump, Banks once wrote in his Facebook account about Trump supporters, saying of them that “Even after we flush Trump, we have a difficult job to cleanse society of their diseased thinking.” He also compared Trump supporters to the KKK and said Trump’s supporters are “racist bullies with second-grade intellects and behavior disorders.” Well then, which way to the gas chambers, Fuhrer Banks?
This is all so typical of the double standard between how Democrats and Republicans are treated by lawfare tyrants. Banks, who obviously leans left, violated ethics, took a political side, yet kept his job. Hazelo, a Trump supporter, tries to defend democracy against ballot counting interference and is charged with a bogus felony count.
How can any Trump supporter ever get fair treatment at the hands of Greg Banks?
