The letter from Michael McCarthy in last Wednesday’s issue was nothing short of amazing. We all remember Trump’s opinion that people who serve in the military are all “suckers and losers.” I wonder if Mr. McCarthy’s late father, a former Marine officer, was aware of Trump’s comment when he voted for Trump in 2016.

And will Mr. McCarthy still be voting for Trump (a notorious draft-dodger) in this year’s election, despite Trump’s cavalier comment that belittles his (McCarthy’s) late father as a “sucker ” and a “loser?”
