Many respond to car accident

On behalf of the Delmon Anderson family, I express much gratitude for the concern, offerings of help, love and prayers for Delmon’s recovery following his recent car accident on Jan. 23, 2012. We are also thankful for the kind support to his wife, Juanita, and family through this unfortunate event. We are especially thankful to the following remarkable people who participated in getting Dad the critical help he needed on the day of the accident and thereafter:

Responsible neighbors who called 911 immediately, Pearl and Jerry Bryant, Deputy Sheriff’s Davison and L. Campbell who were on the scene within minutes, emergency aid personnel who acted with great skill and compassion, Island Hospital ER staff, medi-vac personnel, and the exceptional Harborview Trauma Center ICU and Acute Care staff, including Del and Juanita’s granddaughter, Lia Biddle Long, a RN at Harborview who stepped up to act as Del’s advocate and the family’s liaison.

Delmon suffered multiple injuries but is showing improvement each day and will soon begin a long road to recovery in a care facility nearby.

Cards can be sent to Del and Juanita at P.O. Box 1485, Oak Harbor WA 98277.
