Maybe it’s time to start anew

Obama did not perform a miracle, he committed a crime. Whether the health care plan is constitutional or not, he committed a crime against the taxpaying citizens of America.

The only difference is that 34 million Americans that currently don’t have health care now have to pay. Who stands the most to gain from this? Not the people who are forced to buy it, the people with the most to gain are the insurance companies.

According to the Wall Street Journal, out of the top 10 campaign contributors last year, four were insurance companies. Why would the insurance companies lobby millions of dollars to our legislators? Let’s look at the numbers. If 34 million people now pay an average of $2,000 a year, the insurance companies just made an additional $68 billion dollars a year.

The biggest reason for unaffordable health care is tort liability. Just ask any doctor. If we could limit the liability of doctors we could afford health coverage. Tort liability is forcing our very best people out of health care, and it is crippling the health industry.

But a lot of people get very rich suing doctors, mainly attorneys, and there just is no money in doing the right thing: tort reform. So while the attorneys get rich, we will continue to pay for it.

Sounds a little like the time a group of small colonies rose up against an unjust government that ruled from afar and formed their own government, a government for the people. Have we forgotten?
