I would like to share how amazing I think Whidbey General Hospital is. I have had both my children there and the doctors, nurses (especially the nurses), and support staff in the OB ward were so kind and caring during my stay. Any time I have had any lab work done or had to visit radiology, the staff in those departments have been professional and knowledgeable. The ER doctors, nurses and administration staff are exceptional.
Myself and my children have had to visit the ER over the years and I cannot say enough about how well we have been treated. The nurses have always been very caring toward my children and they have always made them feel comfortable. If I have ever had to wait because of a more serious emergency that has come into the ER or just simply because it was busy, the nurses have always checked in on me to make sure I was OK, to see if I needed anything and to kept me posted on when they figured I would be seen.
Most recently, and what prompted me to write this letter, is on Christmas Eve, my 3-year-old son woke up at 10 p.m. with an ear ache. Upon arrival at Whidbey General Hospital, the front desk support quickly gathered my son’s information and got us situated at the triage station. The nurse that triaged my son that evening was so nice and mentioned to my son that she was going to work quickly to make sure he got the help he needed so that he could get home and in bed so that Santa could come. She kept her word. I don’t believe we were there more than 45 minutes from start to finish.
The staff that evening was so efficient and caring, but I didn’t expect any different, we have never had a negative experience at Whidbey General Hospital and believe that the staff there is amazing!
To everyone at Whidbey General Hospital, thank you for taking such good care of myself and my family!
