Kudos to photographer K. C. Pohtilla and Whidbey News-Times for the picture on the front page of the Saturday, Feb. 3 paper. It is right up there with the classic photo of the sailor kissing the nurse in Times Square upon the end of World War II.

How thrilled (and perhaps, a little choked up) Lt. Cmdr. Mathew “Ike” Blevins must have felt upon seeing his daughter running to greet him. Absolutely, precious!
