We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Gary and the crew of Mike’s Quick Lube in Oak Harbor. We have always had great customer service when dealing with them, but this past week they went above and beyond anything we’ve come to expect from businesses these days.
We had what we thought was just a battery problem right after the new year. Bought a new battery and drove for a few days before it totally went dead leaving Oak Harbor to return to Freeland. We managed to get the car to Mike’s Quick Lube, thank God it was down hill. Unfortunately the make and model of car we own was built in such a way it would just be easier to trade the vehicle in rather than attempt to replace a lousy alternator. Basically remove half the engine and front end of the car to get to it.
Gary and the crew did not want to tackle this one and who could blame them? They immediately made phone calls for service at Jack’s Automotive and explained the problems and all the intricacies of my vehicle. I did not really want to pay for a tow ($60 to be towed a couple of miles) so Gary hooked my battery to a charger for an hour or so. Once we felt we had enough charge to get the vehicle up the road, Gary said, “Lets get this ship underway.” He then proceeded to follow us up to Jack’s to ensure we made it there and hung around with us until he was sure we had a way to get back home.
If you want quality work and awesome customer service we highly recommend Mike’s Quick Lube.
We also highly recommend that you check which engine you are getting in your new Ford Focus if you are in the market for one. Make sure you can find the alternator!
Keep up the great work you guys!
