Removing the opposition

The Jan. 14 edition carried the story of the police chief and fire chief being fired. I have known the two for a number of years and respected their job performance. I was on the Police Community Advisory Board for about 10 years and worked very closely with Chief Wallace.

Mayor Dudley’s action of removing so many people appears to be a show of who is boss. Reminds me of a guy years ago who did the same thing. Some people may still remember Adolph Hitler. He removed one and all who he felt may be a challenge to his authority and power. Is that the motive of Mayor Dudley?

After the mayor finishes “cleaning house” at city hall, who is next in line for removal? Business owners and managers he feels may oppose his policies?
