In her recent letter in the Whidbey News-Times, Nancy Jordan has gotten some things wrong. The current financial mess was brought about because the Democrats and a few Republicans, as far back as during the Clinton administration, would not support regulation on their “goose that laid the golden egg.” Barney Franks repeated several times that there was nothing wrong with Fanny Mae and Freddy Max. The second largest recipient of money from Fanny Mae is none other than Barack Hussein Obama. John McCain voted then and again in 2004 to put regulations in place that would have prevented the Fanny Mae and Freddy Max fiasco.
John McCain has a consistent record of voting against reckless spending, as he did in these votes. Like many supporting Democrats, Nancy has not paid attention to the facts, she has just listened to the talking points and media that is so in love with the socialist agenda of Barack Hussein Obama. To quote Ronald Reagan, “Government is not the solution to the problem, it is the problem.” Due to the nature of government, it is by its self inadequate to handle many problems quickly or efficiently. It does relatively well with defense and international relations but when put in charge of health care, social security and other programs, look at the mess they have created. The more involved the government becomes the less responsive, less adequately prepared to handle problems and changes and more costly the government agency becomes.
Nancy also said we need Democratic leadership in District 10 in Olympia. I guess the $3 billion plus deficit the great Democratic party under Christine Gregoire and our state Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen have provided is what she is referring to. With leadership like that we will soon have the state taking all of our money to pay for programs the Democrats decide we must have.
I would much rather trust Barbara Bailey, Norma Smith and Linda Haddon to go to Olympia and redirect our budget for things needed and cut wasteful spending that the democratic party has continued for almost the last three decades have enforced on the citizens of Washington State.
