Editor,
I find it very interesting that, as important as the Outyling Field in Coupeville is to the Navy, as well as an important part of our much-needed national defense, the Navy was somehow able to do fine without using it since May.
This “Sound of Freedom” has been wonderful, and I thank the Navy for this much needed break.
But, I now wonder, if the Navy was able to go this long without using the OLF, why not stop entirely? Wherever they have been flying to do their much needed practices, why not continue? This proves that the Navy can do without using the OLF.
We now know that the Navy can practice elsewhere.
Perhaps the “need” for the OLF is just another bunch of hogwash.
