We can see the Navy pilots from our house

Regarding the “Window on Whidbey” picture (News-Times, July 25). What a nice picture of a EA-6 Prowler practicing touch-and-go at Outlying Field! But, if you want a closer view of a Prowler, you should visit Dugualla Bay.

We are on such a friendly basis with these planes that the pilots often change their flight paths and fly right over our homes just so we can see them better.

We appreciate them doing that — when they are out over the water we can’t get a good view, or test our hearing. We often say, “Thank goodness we are not deaf.”
