If Joe Kunzler wants to call protests against being deceived in a land deal “whining,” that’s what he wants to call it.

I question, though, whether it’s legal to drive those who were deceived out of their homes, which he calls “evacuating” them in his Aug. 23 letter.

How exactly would they be evacuated? Would they get a notice in the mail saying they had to leave by a certain date or be forcibly removed? Who would have the authority to do that — either to tell them to move or to remove them if they refused?

What country does Joe Kunzler think we’re living in?

It’s difficult to make sense of the last paragraph of Mr. Kunzler’s letter.

He seems to be scolding the Town of Coupeville and Coupeville Camber of Commerce leaders for not condemning Citizens of Ebey’s Reserve for “malicious conduct in Coupeville’s name against the U.S. Navy and Island Transit.”

He doesn’t say what malicious conduct he’s talking about, but if I were those leaders, I would shape up.

Next he will be calling for them to be evacuated.
