Whidbey shows baby support

Thank everyone so much for your participation in making our March for Babies a success. On March 26, The Whidbey Island Committee set forth on our second annual walk. It was so wonderful to see many walkers and teams joined together at Windjammer Park, united for one purpose: babies. Compared to last year, we doubled the number of teams and increased the amount raised by $3,000.

Whidbey Island’s 2011 March for Babies (“Walk on the Wild Side”) brought in more than $11,000 to help save the babies. Way to go Whidbey Island!

Thanks to all the fabulous Whidbey Island logistic volunteers. We couldn’t have done this without your help and devotion.

Thank you to all of our sponsors who helped make this event possible through corporate or in-kind sponsorships:

Blue Fox Drive In,  Pediatric Associates, Whidbey Island Bank, Whidbey General Hospital, Albertsons, Island Women’s Healthcare, Kmart, Fabric Chicks, Wells Fargo, Applebee’s, Les Schwab, Safeway and Honeymoon Bay Coffee.

Extra special thank you to Blue Fox Prints/Drive In for donating our very  nice Whidbey Walk on the Wild Side shirts.

Congratulations to each team for stepping up to the challenge and we hope to see you all again next year.

It was great to see a youth team, “Coupeville Dynamite,” which consisted of 11 youth, who together raised $1,000.

Most of all, I appreciate Stephanie Sansbury for sharing with us her daughter, Lily, our Whidbey Island Ambassador!

Thanks everyone for all your support for the Whidbey Island March for Babies.
