South Whidbey Tilth invites you to learn about its Garry oak meadow and the native plant understory.

South Whidbey Tilth invites the community to learn about its Garry oak meadow and the native plant understory.

This workshop and work party takes place in the upper meadow from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 5. This area is a conservation easement for wildlife habitat. The oaks have a wide variety of native understory plants.

The first half hour of the program is an orientation of what plants to look for. Then volunteers will get to work cutting back blackberries and clearing around the Garry oaks.
