Skagit Valley College offers a Turning Point

Skagit Valley College’s Life Transitions program is now accepting applications for the program’s free career exploration and job search program, called Turning Point. Turning Point classes are offered September through May and take place in Mount Vernon and Oak Harbor. Evening classes are also available upon request.

Skagit Valley College’s Life Transitions program is now accepting applications for the program’s free career exploration and job search program, called Turning Point.

Turning Point classes are offered September through May and take place in Mount Vernon and Oak Harbor.  Evening classes are also available upon request.

The college’s Life Transitions program is designed to help individuals who are looking at making career changes, increasing their self-esteem, identifying their skills and exploring employment options.  Classes are small and provide ongoing support and one-on-one consultations.

Day classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All classes on the Mount Vernon Campus take place in SVC’s Parker House, located on the west side of the campus on La Venture Road.  Classes in Oak Harbor take place on the Whidbey Island Campus.

To register, students must attend an orientation session, which is held every Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
