Boys & Girls Club of Oak Harbor’s Bids for Kids dinner and auction will be held Saturday, March 12, at 5:30 p.m. at the Roller Barn. Tickets are still available but need to be purchased in advance by calling the club at 360-240-9273, or by stopping by the Roller Barn from noon to 6 p.m.

This is the 12th year of the event and the 5th year it has had a garden theme. All the proceeds go to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Harbor which is located in the Roller Barn.

The club has programs and activities for youth ages 6 to 18.  There is the after-school program that has homework, arts and crafts and fitness programs. The club also offers summer programs, as well as skating Monday afternoons and Friday evenings.

Island Thrift is the event sponsor again this year. This is the main fundraising event for the Club. Many community members have donated items and time to make this a successful evening.

There will be a free preview the night before the auction, on Friday, March 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. The public is invited to see the club and the items to be auctioned. Refreshments will be provided.
