Saturday, April 26 is International Sculpture Day, an event organized annually by the International Sculpture Center of Hamilton, New Jersey, with participating venues worldwide.
This year five places on Whidbey Island will be participating in this celebration of sculpture in all its forms.
The self-guided tour features the work of dozens of artists in beautiful garden and forest settings that collectively create a driving tour of impressive outdoor art throughout Whidbey Island. The variety of presented works in every possible media is an eye opening experience not to be missed.
Venues are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Whidbey artistic venues include the new Whidbey Island Sculpture Experience at 1162 East Crescent Harbor Road in Oak Harbor; the Price Sculpture Forest at 678 Parker Road in Coupeville; Cloudstone Sculpture Park at 5056 Cloudstone Lane in Freeland; the Earth Sanctuary at 2059 Newman Road and 5536 Emil Rd in Langley; and Rob Schouten Gallery & Sculpture Garden at 101 Anthes Avenue in Langley.
