Whidbey Island Cannabis Company is welcoming the return of medical marijuana services to qualifying patients on the island, along with a new program designed to enhance affordability and accessibility for community members.
“Access to medical marijuana is incredibly important, especially for people with qualifying conditions. We aim to ensure that our services are not financially prohibitive, allowing patients to receive the relief they need without excessive burden,” says Bud tender Sara Martin, highlighting the company’s commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
To access the medical marijuana services, patients simply need a recommendation from a licensed primary care provider, which can include doctors, nurse practitioners and naturopaths. With this recommendation, patients can enroll in the state database and benefit from the tailored support provided by Whidbey Island Cannabis Company’s certified medical consultants.
The company proudly offers Department of Health (DOH)-compliant products that undergo rigorous testing to guarantee they are free from heavy metals, pesticides and other contaminants. As a result, patients purchasing these DOH-compliant products are eligible for a 37 per cent excise tax reduction – a significant saving on each purchase.
“We work with multiple producer-processors to ensure we have DOH-compliant products available, so our patients know they’re getting the highest-quality.”
This commitment is reinforced by the local retailer’s emphasis on providing reliable information and guidance. Medical cannabis consultants, certified by the state, are on hand daily to help patients select the best products for their unique conditions and needs.
Additionally, the shop has added a temporary discount program that will run until the end of the year.
As part of its efforts to enhance the customer experience, Whidbey Island Cannabis Co recently welcomed two new team members with experience in cannabis and customer care.
Lorelei brings a deep knowledge of terpenes and their impact, helping customers make informed choices based on individual preferences and needs.
Kyle, a seasoned budtender, offers years of industry experience and a compassionate approach to patient service, helping newcomers and regulars alike find the products best suited to their needs.
The veteran budtenders bring passion and expertise to the cannabis community. Monica Scott, Budtender and Executive Purchaser, is inspired by the plant’s versatility, from its cannabinoids like CBD and CBG to its recreational and medicinal benefits. Sage Hayes, Budtender, appreciates the welcoming and laid-back atmosphere cannabis fosters, creating a friendly and inclusive industry.
Darius Williams, Lead Budtender and Website Attendant, is dedicated to educating others about the plant’s potential, striving to elevate its reputation and highlight its many benefits. Together, they create an informative and uplifting experience for everyone they serve.
“We are deeply community-minded and driven by the mission of community through cannabis. Our team is here to offer more than just products; we aim to provide the highest level of compassionate care to everyone who walks through our door,” Martin says.
