Central Whidbey Fire Chief Ed Hartin is a good man and a great fire fighter. I was lucky to work with him in Mashpee, Ma., In the ‘80s. Any department that has Ed working for them has a real gem.

The Ed that I know always worked above and beyond the call of duty working with full time union firefighters or call firefighters. He was the real thing when I worked with him.
