Sue Blouin is gearing up for the big day.
Not just Saturday, April 19, when the 24th annual Easter Egg Hunt put on by Soroptimist International of Coupeville takes place at Coupeville Town Park.
But she’ll have her hands full two days later when she stocks up on prizes and other clearance items for the 2015 event.
That’s part of the duties as the event chairperson.
“I go the day after Easter and clear off all the shelves in town,” she said.
In store for kids at the Easter Egg hunt this year are 3,000 candy-filled plastic eggs.
“It’s the highest we’ve ever had,” Blouin said.
Separate areas are cordoned off for simultaneous egg hunts for three different age groups from age 1 to 9. There also will be a coin toss for children 10 and older.
The egg hunts start promptly at 10 a.m., so arriving early is imperative, Blouin said, to avoid “a lot of sad faces.”
Raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win prize-filled Easter Egg baskets. Tickets are $1 apiece, six for $5 or 12 for $10.
An Easter Bunny will be on hand for photo opportunities.
Food donations are encouraged to help Gifts from the Heart Food Bank.
