Island County’s Board of Commissioners announced last week it is seeking applicants for a position on the Housing Authority Board.

The new housing board commissioner would serve a five-year term, working to promote adequate and affordable housing. The housing board seeks to help low-income households become self-sufficient.

It typically meets once a month for two hours at a time.

Interested individuals should provide a letter of interest and statement of qualifications by mail, email or fax to Island County Board of Commissioners, Attn: Pam Dill, Re: Housing Authority Board of Commissioners Vacancy, P.O. Box 5000, Coupeville, Wash. 98239.
