Rob Schouten Gallery presents “Island Times‚ Greenbank and Beyond,” paintings by BYRON BIRDSALL, through Sept. 29. Birdsall is an artist with a national reputation for his depictions of nature. Paintings feature landscapes of Alaska, the Northwest and Whidbey Island.

The Fifth Annual Live Art Auction begins at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the MATZKE FINE ART GALLERY, 2345 Blanche Way, Camano Island. Registration fee of $20 at the door. Party and food starts at 4 p.m. The auction features 75-plus pieces of glass, sculptures, paintings and more by 60 artists. Preview the art 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 20.
