When completed, the work will travel to Chicago, Boston and eventually return “home‚“ to make an appearance in Cork City and Galway, Ireland. Gary Leake is PENN COVE GALLERY’S featured artist for March. Woodworker artist Leake will visit the gallery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 26, with some of his woodworking tools. Leake’s passion is to search the countryside for a special, one-of-a-kind, piece of timber and turn it into a unique, finely engineered, beautiful piece of furniture which is a true work of art. Leake’s technique is influenced by methods and styles of earlier times, using antique woodworking tools and skills. Visit www.garyaleakewoodworking.com for information.
