WICA is seeking proposals and script suggestions from directors, artists and community members for the 2012-13 Theatre Series. For plays to be considered, submit the application at WICAonline.com. For any new plays, submit a copy of the play, playwright’s resume and a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you would like your materials returned. The deadline for Theatre Series proposals is March 15.

The Local Artist Series was initiated to create opportunities for local artists to perform at WICA at a low-to-no financial risk. All facility rental fees are underwritten by WICA and the Rural Characters benefit concert. Deadline for LAS application is April 1 and applications can be found at wicaonline.com.

Fast and Furious/Down and Dirty is a program that supports the evolution of projects and collaborations not possible under the constraints of regular  Main Stage programming. It allows adventurous artists and audiences to explore a variety of works: everyday life and cultural performance, stage adaptations of texts and other materials, and the avant-garde and performance art. Proceeds from all F2D2 performances will help fund the lighting and sound equipment needed to finish Zech Hall.

F2D2 is open to all disciplines and proposals are accepted year-round. However, only those submitted by April 1 will be included in the 2012-2013 Season brochure.

For information, visit www.WICAonline.com or call 360-221-8268 or 800-638-7631. WICA is located at 565 Camano Ave., Langley.
