Coupeville High School senior basketball player Anthony Bergeron was named 1A Athlete of the Week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association for the week of Jan. 19.

Bergeron recorded 23 points, six rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the Wolves’ 57-55 win over Lakewood Jan. 24.

Coupeville coach Anthony Smith said, “I think through his hard work he will keep improving. His tremendous growth as a player is to his credit.”
