Beyond the classroom walls on North Whidbey

The science teachers of North Whidbey Middle School want to recognize and thank the wonderful parents, Oak Harbor community members, and Navy partners of CNATTU that went out of their way to volunteer and offer so much to our students this past school year. The list of individuals is too long to include here, but they know who they are. They are the selfless individuals who know that learning goes on well beyond the classroom walls. These individuals devoted their time and talents, as well as financial resources, to provide opportunities for our students that will be appreciated for years.

We thank all the men and women of CNATTU for hosting all of our eighth graders this year, showing them how science, technology and mathematics are applied in the real world. Thank you to the wonderful parents that pulled the resources together to purchase frogs for us so that our seventh graders could perform frog dissections — an experience not soon to be forgotten. And finally, thanks to all of you that spent your valuable time in our classrooms, chaperoning field trips and supporting our efforts to educate the students of Oak Harbor. You have truly enriched the lives of so many!
