No one appeared to have been injured as the result of a truck accident that occurred north of Oak Harbor Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 5 p.m. a Nissan box truck was being driven south on Highway 20 near Frostad Road north of Oak Harbor when it rolled on its side.
Jake Spurgeon and Paul Sather were following the truck at the time of the accident. They said the truck simply veered off the road and onto the grass next to the highway. The truck eventually hit a culvert and ended up on its side south of the intersection with Frostad.
Because the accident took place at the passing lanes, the resulting traffic slowdown was minimal as vehicles were able to drive by the scene.
The Washington State Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
