Remembrances of the Heart is a memorial program that has been planned by the Whidbey General Hospital inpatient, MAC/Oncology, and Home Health Care/Hospice staff to honor and remember those that have passed away within the last year.

The invitation is extended to the community whether or not the staff of WGH had cared for the loved one. The program will be held Saturday, February 8, 2003, at Whidbey General Hospital in Coupeville from 2-4 p.m.

The purpose of this gathering is to provide a time and place to honor and remember loved ones. The program will be both informational and inspirational. It will include music, readings and reflections by the staff, and a candlelight ritual. There will be an opportunity to acknowledge the name of loved ones on a heart that will be provided. The hope is that there will be words of encouragement and comfort for those who live with the grief and the adjustments that accompany loss.

It will take place in Conference Rooms A and B in the lower level of the hospital. There is parking available in the front of the hospital as well as along the sides and back.
