According to Campbell, the three passengers were injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. They included 18-year-old Eric Young of Oak Harbor, as well as a 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl.

Campbell said Hibbard sustained a laceration to his head and multiple cuts and bruises, but he declined to be transported to the hospital.

The accident occurred at about 2:50 a.m. Hibbard was driving the three young people to their homes after a party at his house, Campbell reported.

Campbell said the accident was caused by excessive speed. He said Hibbard may face a charge for reckless driving, but the case is still under investigation.
