Whidbey Island resident Charles Raymond Benthin passed away of natural causes Sunday morning March 16, 2014 at Careage of Whidbey in Coupeville.

Born March 8, 1924, he was 90 years old. He served 22 years in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1965.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alta Mae and daughter Carol. He is survived by son John, granddaughters Katie and Jennie and great-grandchildren Abbey, Brandon and Ava.
