On Feb. 7 Central Whidbey residents will vote on an important on-going maintenance and operations levy for Coupeville Schools. I am proud to be part of a community that strongly supports its schools, and I hope support of this critical levy will continue.
The M & O levy helps fund basic school services needed to maintain current programs. The levy pays for text books, class room supplies, school bus transportation, computer maintenance, building maintenance, after school academic and athletic programs, the Learning Partners Program, Community Education programs and other important services. Without this levy, basic education programs would go away.
Our children deserve our continued support. Please remember to vote on Feb. 7 and support our schools.
