In reference to Coach Willie Smith retiring from coaching, as a fellow homeschooler, outsider and fairly unconfident baseball player I want to share in the gratitude I have for Coach Smith.

He gave me every opportunity to grow and learn many life lessons through the game of baseball.

Coach Smith always gave me a chance to prove myself on the field and never thought less of me. I will always cherish and appreciate that gift from Coach smith and the rest of the staff when others failed.
