A registered sex offender is accused of breaking into a trailer at a mobile home park to save his two girlfriends from a man who looks just like him, according to court documents.

Neither the two girlfriends nor the man existed, however, the police report indicates.

Prosecutors charged Bryan Parent, 39, in Island County Superior Court Aug. 29 with residential burglary and malicious mischief.

Parent pleaded not guilty Sept. 9.

Officers responded to a report of a man screaming at a mobile home park on Heller Road.

They contacted Parent, who denied screaming.

Soon after they left, the officers again responded to a call from the park. This time, a caller reported that Parent broke into a home.

The officer reported finding Parent inside a residence. The front window was broken in and Parent had blood on his hands, according to the police report.

“He said that there had been a man inside the home who looked just like him and his ‘two girlfriends’ were screaming for help,” the report states.

Parent claimed the man and women ran out. A witness said nobody left the home.

The officer contacted the resident, who wasn’t home at the time. The woman was frightened and said Parent didn’t have permission to be in the home.

Court documents indicate Parent is a registered sex offender who was convicted of child molestation in Kitsap County.

Parent was arrested in March for allegedly impersonating a federal agent at a hotel in Oak Harbor. He told an officer that his name was “Angel of Prosperity.”

Parent could face more than five years in prison if convicted of the new charges against him. He has a high “offender score” — which increases the sentence — because of his criminal record.
